Yes, it’s middle of summer but that didn’t sway my judgement on the beautifully designed Corona Beach website. Interactive websites are a dime a dozen but Big Spaceship really hit the ball out of the park with this one. It’s simple, easy to navigate and does it ever do the trick. Talk about relaxing…

Jeff Tweedy (Wilco) and Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes). Two of the greatest songwriters of my generation.  Now, I’m happy to introduce Joey Barro (The Traditionist) to that list.  The California storyteller used to front the folk-rock outfit, The Antiques but now has his full attention on your soon-to-be-new-favorite-band, The Traditionist.  The songs are raw, simple, organic, bouncy – weaving with so much heartfelt emotion, they’re best suited for late nights sprawled out on the living room floor with headphones on as loud as they go. This is the kind of stuff we’ll be talking about for years and something tells me The Traditionist is only scratching the surface of his true potential.

I dunno about you but when I think of Mark Ecko, I definitely think of Star Wars. The hip-hop lifestyle designer has teamed up with Lucasfilm to debut an artist series of Star Wars tees. The funny thing is they’re actually pretty sweet. The Star Wars nerd in me digs the Storm Brewin and Poster Doodle. 

HP’s new TouchSmart might very well be a strong contender for top kitchen computer.  I’m loving their attention to design and attempt to simplify lifestyle applications.  Just about the only thing missing is….oh yeah, it’s not a MAC.  Damn Windows always has to ruin everything.
