The squid, the whale & Matt Stallings

I’m going out on a limb and declaring Matt Stallings the Wes Anderson of illustration. The San Diego artist is a champ at invoking a playful and often times nostalgic emotion into his paintings. Each one carries a different journey while always touching on that feel-good, Max Fischer smart and witty sense of humor.
