I’m no messenger but this does the job

I’ve been looking long and hard for the perfect bag to house my new 15″ MacBook Pro. I’m totally picky and after many hours surfing sites from here to Tokyo, I decided to go to the Apple store and boom, there it was. An army green canvas shoulder bag by InCase. It’s super durable, water resistant, seatbelt-like strap, easy laptop access and plenty of pockets. Sold. The only thing I’m missing is front handles. Damn, maybe I should have gotten this. What do you think, like my purchase?

Jamaica’s new music video is so totally rad.

The band is Jamaica and their new single is a total jam. It’s called “I Think I Like U2″ and I’m addicted. Hello awesome new music with an even more awesome music video. I think I like u too.

Go bananas for bonsai.

Sometimes, there’s no need to look further than your own backyard to find musical inspiration. This reigns true for Diego Stocco. Using leaves, various bows, a piano hammer and a paintbrush, he composed some sweet music solely from the rhythms and notes of a bonsai tree. In the past, Diego’s created eclectic compositions from light bulbs, typewriters and staplers, just to name a few. If his unique work seems familiar, it’s because his “Music from Sand“ project was featured in I Swear To Good You Are God At This. Check out “Music from a Bonsai” below, and prepare to go bananas for bonsai.

Students + art + creativity = awesome!

Yesterday’s launch for two new Artists Series shirts (designed by Ryan and Vanessa, two students from High Tech High: Media Arts) was a huge success! We were able to raise $400 for their non-profit, charter school that focusses on the value of design, art and creativity. I can’t tell you how good it feels to offer these students a project that extends beyond the walls of their classroom. We’ll have the shirts up for sale on our site by the end of the week. In the meantime, enjoy some photos and video from yesterday’s amazing launch event.

I’d like to add you as a friend, in real life.

We spend so much time in this here internets that it’s easy to forget about our real world, offline relationships. Give your facebook updates some rest and use this card by Manchester designer Nicola Clare. It’s a perfect way to get out of your digital bubble and back into reality. Plus, it’s totally clever and we like that.
