Buy a hat. Change a life.

I get fired up seeing people take matters into their own hands and make great leaps toward sustainable economic development. One group of changemakers is Krochet Kids. Their mission is to empower people to rise above poverty. How you ask? Through quality, handmade products that serve as a vehicle for social change. They started the Krochet Program, which employs ten Ugandan women who are crocheting hats and enjoying a newfound livelihood. This new opportunity is supplemented with educational training to help them sustain and provide for their families both now and in the years to come. Check out Krochet Kids’ full line of hats, shirts and one super cool laptop case. So inspiring!
