Hugh Holland makes me nostalgic

His book is a coffee table classic, but I really appreciate that Hugh Holland is still posting his film skate photos from the 70s. That era wasn’t without its problems, but there’s certainly something about it that makes it seems so damn carefree.

Our January mixtape

Like we’ve always intended, this month’s mix pulls music from everywhere – internet trends, jukeboxes, shows we went to in Brooklyn, and late night conversations with friends over pizza and beer. Discovery shouldn’t just be an algorithm, it’s a lifestyle.

Here’s something that never goes out of style

As long as I can remember, black leather jackets have been a staple of edginess for both men and women. Having worn mine to shreds, I recently started browsing for a replacement. While several listicles let me down, I was pumped to find out about The Jacket Maker and their Rocker Biker Jacket. It has a little something going on without going overboard and costs far less than some of the pricey options out there. Let’s rock ‘n’ roll!

V is for Vivian

Really digging these illustrations from Los Angeles artist Vivian Shih. For me, her work straddles this line of strength and vulnerability, something that I believe anyone, regardless of how they identify, can benefit from.

Your gym gear doesn’t have to suck

While I’ve become more and more of a fan of yoga over the years, I’ve always thought a lot of the gear was lame. I was happy to see someone made this Boombox mat bag though. With Stranger Things, GLOW, and White Gold all thriving, it looks like the 80s never went out of style.
