At MKG our water cooler is tucked away in a lonely, often dark storage closet. It definitely gets used but rarely do you see anyone hovering over it, talking about last night’s episode of Californication. Maybe people don’t see the genius of David Duchovny or they don’t have Showtime or maybe we just need to replace the water with our friends, Jack Daniels.

NBA Draft fashion has always been a mild obsession of mine, but BuzzFeed’s list of the 25 Worst Haircuts in Sports History is also prettay, prettay good. Any ‘dos they’ve left out that you would have included? Adam Morrison in the midst of shaving of his head comes to mind for me.

There’s a Tumblr blog made for everything nowadays and sometimes it’s hard to keep up, but occasionally there’s one that stands out from the rest. Halloween or Williamsburg?

This is my first Halloween in New York. I’ve always LOVED this holiday, because I get excited about the chance just once a year to dress and act completely ridiculously without consequences. However, this year is a little different. Living here in Brooklyn, I’ve noticed costumes are sorta the norm. OK, maybe I shouldn’t even call them costumes, because in Brooklyn (well… more specifically Williamsburg as this hilarious tumblr points out) people seem to wear such outfits for no particular occasion or season. Whether you’re waiting in line to get a table for brunch on Sunday or simply braving the morning commute, you may just spot a swarm of stormtroopers or hipster zombies. This weekend there’s no question, but if you live in my neck of the woods and you spot such scenes come November… it’s Williamsburg.

His videos already get a million plus views on YouTube, but Kassem G’s California On interview series is too freakin’ funny to not write about at least once. Perhaps it’s his brazen interview style or his wardrobe of sweet wolf t-shirts, but you’ll be hooked on these once you get going.

Unicorns are jerks

I love unicorns because they’re usually fabulous creatures, but this particular unicorn takes things way too far. Feeding pigs bacon? Tearing the last page out of a library book? What is this? Illustrator Cole Moss (who happened to be a fellow schoolmate of mine at Otis College) released a book full of these illustrations. Unfortunately, the book is so awesome that it sold out online. The good news is, they’re still available at the bookstores listed here.
