Among all of the weird crap you can find on the internet, there’s a place that sells it, too (and I’m totally okay with that). Chinny Chin Chin is one of them and it’s my new favorite online shop. Every possible internet acronym for laughter (LOL, ROFL, LMAO, ROFLMAO, and whatever combination you can dream up) can be used as reactions to any of the wonderful, offbeat products. I’m sure this shop’s website is worthy of a retweet and millions of Facebook likes by blind parachutists and gay animal advocates everywhere. Are you one of them? If not, you can always buy these fabulous porcelain necklaces. Go unicorns.
Reggie Watts told us about how he was a Peter Serafinowicz fan in our interview, but I totally forgot about it until my friend Kara passed along this amazing video about a trip to a British market. I love British humor. It doesn’t have to be all up in your face to be funny.
Thanks to law-student-turned-entrepreneur Drew Oliver, you can give the pleasant gift of viruses in the form of cute plushies! GIANTmicrobes plush toys are exactly what the title suggests: giant versions of viruses, maladies, STDs, cells, and more. While the creator was in law school, he thought it would be a great idea to manufacture magnified and huggable versions of these things. Nothing like quitting law to please fans of Black Death, Mad Cow, and more. I’d love to have Herpes on my desk or in the back of my car. Which one is your favorite? Can you identify the ones below?
First Darwin explains the species, then Ashkahn & Co. takes a crack at the private parts. Last month, I visited his booth at Renegade LA and learned that in addition to Evolution of the Muff, Ashkahn also designed our I Love U Artist Series shirts. Perhaps I’m a perv, but I’d like to pop this postcard in the mail to brighten a courier’s day or carry groceries home in an educational tote. Only 10 more years to define a ‘do’ for the next chapter in hair down there history!
This book by Avery Monsen and Jory John is not your typical picture book. We’re all about positivity here, but this book is so cute I thought it was worthy of a mention even if it points out the crappy things about being all kinds of inanimate objects and certain living things. Check out a few pages in the book here and if you love it that much, you can buy it and put it on your coffee table. You can even make it a “joke gift” for a child’s birthday… or a serious one if you want it to be the most depressing present ever.
