NBA Draft fashion has always been a mild obsession of mine, but BuzzFeed’s list of the 25 Worst Haircuts in Sports History is also prettay, prettay good. Any ‘dos they’ve left out that you would have included? Adam Morrison in the midst of shaving of his head comes to mind for me.

To celebrate the beginning of this year’s U.S. Open, Brooklyn artist Mickey Duzyj has assembled an absolutely gorgeous (and quite thorough) collection of arguably the greatest tradition in all of tennis – yes, we’re talking fist-pumps. Seriously, this is better than any infographic I’ve seen in years. It’s clear ESPN has more than just a talented illustrator on their hands as I’m convinced Duzyj might actually be a serial fist-pumper himself. Silent squeezes aside, I’m having a hard time deciding on my favorite – it’s either Lleyton Hewitt’s The Broken Chainsaw or Jimmy Connor’s The Hornblower. What do you think? April is right around the corner and that means one thing: playoff beards. Whether it’s tradition, a temporary soul patch or just plain laziness (see also: The Sydney Crosby), the beard is your friend. If you don’t like beards then you probably don’t like being awesome. And that makes you a bad person. So scruff up.

I’m really glad my friend Doug reminded me about this clip. Shaq rapping, Mark Madsen dancing and a 22 year-old afroed Kobe Bryant with a Super Soaker that’s just a little too cool for school. This is why I love the NBA…and white people dancing horrendously. I can’t believe this was 2001 and not 1988. And just for the record, the original It Takes Two video is pretty splendiferous too.

Somewhere along the line Major League Baseball managed to eradicate all their nerdy players because you don’t see guys like these anymore. Nerd Baseball lets us guys re-live our card collecting days with the most amazing dorks to ever play the game. This site had me laughing out loud in front of my computer screen. I really need to dig through one of my boxes of common cards soon.

This summer, California Skateparks brought The World’s Largest Skateboard to Camp Woodward PA. Hell yeah, campers and staff took the enormous skateboard out for a ride. It appeared safe and fun until California Skateparks owner, Joe Ciaglia decided to take his creation for a solo ride. Watch the video and you’ll see the outcome. [via likecool]

Surprisingly, the best part about the Lakers winning it all isn’t that Adam Morrison has two rings and LeBron still has none. It’s that it allowed Kyle Mooney and Good Neighbor to create a sequel to last year’s Lakers Parade video. This is awkward comedy at its finest.
