Layer Tennis is the Olympics of graphic design. Two competitors will swap a file back and forth in real-time, adding to and embellishing the work. Each artist gets fifteen minutes to complete a “volley” and then it’s posted live here. A third participant, typically a smartass writer, provides play-by-play commentary on the action, as it happens. A match lasts for ten volleys and then a winner is declared champion. The first match went live today with some of our favorite artists (Scott Hansen of ISO5050 and HM’s own artist series designer, Evan Melnyk of Curse of the Multiples).
