Meet Laura Barnard. She’s a UK illustrator with hands that draw beautiful things like city landscapes, rooftop aspirations and scribbles filled with charm. Because her work is incredibly awesome, we felt it only appropriate to do an awesome giveaway. So tell us what makes your heart race by dropping a comment below or tweet using #myheartrace and one lucky winner will win this ultra-sweet, limited-edition, hand-signed poster. We’ll announce the winner during our weekly radio show on Wednesday, Feb 3rd.

A life lived differently. Outside of the realm of the normal, past mediocrity into true life. A life lived to its full potential. My heart races because I am reminded when interacting with such a person that a life that actually matters is possible. A world that goes beyond the status quo is attainable. This makes my heart race.
a punny poster. quips, aphorisms, and the moment before deploying one all make my heart race.
Standing there at the edge of uncertainty, feeling like you might be captain of a ship riding out a storm. Smiling ear to ear, shivers running up your spine and down your arms because you’re doing/seeing/hearing something unbelievable that your body has never had the pleasure of drinking in….

2 minutes and 24 seconds into ‘Keep The Car Running’ by Arcade Fire. This is the moment when the pianos go crazy and it reminds me of seeing them live at the Latitude Festival, in the dark, with everyone setting off paper lanterns into the sky.

At this point in time, two things (ironically, completely) make my heart race: Haiti & Lady Gaga.
First, my heart goes out to the Haitian people as it has been hard to see their struggles, as no person should have to endure such losses as they have. Therefore, I donated and hope others do as well when they read this.
On a lighter note, Lady Gaga is my hearts guilty-pleasure right now. She is a genius is my book, and “my heart races” every time I see her crazy outfits and videos online and on TV.
