The Uniform Project turned out to be a huge hit, so I wasn’t surprised to find that the its success spawned another year of sustainable fashion and fund raising. Instead of the “one year, one dress” routine, they’ve changed it up so that one dress is worn for one month by a “Pilot” (a collaborator working with The Uniform Project). Once the month ends, the funds raised by the Pilot is donated to a specific cause. This month’s Pilot, India, designed her own versatile dress to wear for the project and she’s raising funds for Our School, a school and community center providing alternative education to low income youth in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans, the area most affected by Hurricane Katrina. I’m very happy to see that they’ve given it another another shot (and you should, too). Follow the cause here and check out the project’s amazing first year here!
