It’s like graffiti and vandalism mixed with rainbows and happiness

Somewhere in Detroit there is a paradox of a neighborhood called Heidelberg. It’s the most cheerful-looking desolate place I’ve ever seen (in photos, not in person, unfortunately) thanks to artist Tyree Guyton, who has been transforming the street into a public art display for over twenty years. Houses, lawns, and much more have turned into works of art that make the street a great example of renewal and creativity. If anything, it’s one place where I wouldn’t mind getting lost for awhile. If you happen to be in the Detroit area, go ahead and pay a visit. It’s proof that not all of the really cool things are only on West Coast or East Coast! (via Cool Hunting)
