After a full season of use, Streetfilms.org released a short piece documenting how a traffic lane on Brooklyn’s Prospect Park West was transformed into a two-way bike path. It made me smile to see that people are not always treated as second class citizens to automobiles and that greener, healthier, alternative transportation is on the rise. It’s made pedestrians and cyclists safer and proven some arguments by opponents to be ridiculous. That’s just freakin’ rad I hope more cities will take the same initiative. If there are any Brooklynites reading this, let us know how your summer of (bicycle) love went.
