I’m crushing on Julia Pott like I did Wes Anderson in my twenties and MaximumRocknRoll in my teens. Julia’s a freelance illustrator and animation director living and working in London. Her resume boasts an impressive list of indie bands, corporate gigs and an online shop. However, what separates Julia from awesome to epic is her uncanny way of storytelling, it touches a nerve that often chokes most of us up. One of my favorites is “My First Crush”, where she uses interviews with people about their first encounters with love, and their animal counterparts tells their stories of humor and heartache. Another must-watch is Howard. Trust me, it’s hard not to fall in love with Julia Pott, she’s quickly becoming an artist defining a generation.
