I think most of us would agree that less landfills are good thing, so that’s why I’m inspired by what People for Urban Progress (P.U.P) is doing. When it heard that remnants of the old RCA Dome stadium were going to be chucked into landfills, it went on a mission to salvage the raw materials and upcycle them into new products, while putting the proceeds back into social good projects and programs that benefit the Indianapolis community. Many organizations try to pull this off, but the team at P.U.P has created some seriously high-quality items like wallets, clutches, dopp kits and bags. Check out the shop and see if anything stokes you. Some items are even made from vinyl banners that hung during Super Bowl XLVI (that’s 2012 when the Giants took out the Patriots).
