Use less water by switching up your shirts

With the drought weighing heavily on everyone’s minds out west, I’m digging what Superego is trying to for an article we all probably own – the t-shirt. Instead of traditional cotton, Superego makes their shirts out of hemp which use 50% less water to produce (that’s 350 gallons vs. 700 for cotton), last longer and are more durable. Plus they’ve been hard at work to make shirts that are just as soft as what cotton brings to the table. Superego has a Kickstarter running right now because hemp isn’t that easy to source and they have just linked up with a supplier, which it wants to order in volume from to reduce environmental impact.
